Lineth is a production-grade, EVM-equivalent ZK rollup stack for building and operating Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 networks. Originally developed as the Linea Stack, Lineth has operated in production since 2023 as the foundation of Linea Mainnet. The stack covers the complete Layer 2 pipeline, including Besu-based execution, Maru consensus and sequencing, transaction finalization, zero-knowledge proof generation, zkEVM arithmetization, and Ethereum contracts for proof verification, messaging, and token bridging. Lineth can be used to operate public Layer 2 networks or institutionally managed and permissioned Ethereum-compatible networks.
